About the Course:
Although the internet is almost impossible to bypass nowadays, it can leave our mind scattered and frayed, whereafter it’s difficult to relax either mentally or physically (as we all know to our cost!).
Conversely, if we were to change our focus from external technology to our own inner technology – the mind – through meditation, we would experience a natural sense of peace and mental freedom.
On this ½-day workshop we will explore strategies for counteracting those all too familiar excitable and restless states of mind that come from interaction with today’s digital world. We will engage in some straightforward, guided meditations that will help us to become more peaceful and concentrated, so that we can enjoy our happiness and contentment from within.
‘When we are enjoying internal peace and happiness our craving for external sources of pleasure naturally declines and it is easy to remain content.’
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche
