Inner Wealth & The Pursuit of Happiness

A 5  week series with Buddhist Teacher Tingy in Ashford

We know from our own experience that we can never derive deep peace and happiness from material things. Indeed it often seems that the more emphasis we place on material development, the more problems we encounter.

In this series of weekly talks and guided meditations with Tingy, we will explore how we can all come to find a deeper inner peace and happiness through cultivating the potential and capacity of our own hearts and minds in everyday life.

Through developing the ‘inner wealth’ of qualities such as love, compassion, generosity, patience and wisdom, we can gradually eliminate our suffering and problems, and eventually find the deeper, longer lasting peace and happiness we are all searching for, but until now have found it so hard to find.

We will explore how this approach gives us a fresh perspective on our pursuit of happiness in the year ahead, moving from simply pursuing fleeting moments of temporary pleasure and joy, to the confidence we can find ever increasing peace, happiness and joy moment to moment.

Sessions last for 45mins. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation. Light refreshments will be served before or after the class.

About this series: This 5 week series aims to teach effective, meditation-based solutions to everyday problems taken from the Kadampa Buddhist tradition. You can attend these classes on a drop-in basis and each class is self-contained.
