HEART CENTRED RELATIONSHIPS: A DAY RETREAT

A Day Meditation Event in West Malling

Saturday 9 December| 10am – 5pm

Booking Online Required – Limited Capacity

Sometimes our relationships can be unsatisfying and frustrating. It’s not uncommon to feel like we’ve hit a dead-end in our relationships, even with someone we deeply care about. In this day retreat, KMC Kent’s Principal Teacher James Baskerville will guide us through the Buddhist approach for building heart-centred relationships and restoring connection.

Buddha taught that true connection with others must start from within. By taking refuge in our own naturally good heart, we connect with our authentic best self. As a result, we feel more confident and secure, and are better able to connect with others. Through meditation and Buddha’s teachings, we’ll learn how to cultivate this skill and apply it practically to our lives.

Each session will consist of a talk and guided meditation plus time for Q&A.

The Teacher

This meditation retreat will be led by James Baskerville, the Resident Teacher at KMC Kent.

James has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over twenty years and has engaged in extensive meditation retreats, including silent retreat. He is especially known for his clarity, humour and inspirational presentation of Buddha’s teachings.
