Living life with Meaning & Purpose
a weekend Retreat
with KMC Kent Resident Teacher James Baskerville

Fri 13 - Sun 15 Sep 2024 at The Friars Priory in Aylesford

A Weekend Retreat on Living Life of Purpose & Meaning

There Is Nothing More Precious Than Our Human Life. With it we have immense potential and freedom to accomplish anything we want; success, wealth, fame, family life, world travel. Our worldly ambitions can be almost limitless.

However, in spite of our every achievement, we are often left with a residual gnaw of dissatisfaction, that surfaces in spite of our every material gain.

So what is missing? Is there more beyond material gain? What will bring me deep satisfaction? What will bring real meaning to my life? A meaning that is deep and reliable, that will transcend the everyday challenges of life.

This retreat will explore these profound questions. It will emphasise how training our mind is the key to awakening our ultimate potential.

By turning inwards we can understand, develop and realise our inner potentials. We can awaken our boundless essential nature of peace, love, compassion and wisdom.

Through training our mind we can discover a true purpose, navigate our pursuits with meaning and benefit all others. We can truly seize the essence of every moment of this temporary life.

About Residential Retreat: A residential weekend retreat is an ideal opportunity to reflect and establish the basis for positive change.

This weekend residential retreat will be guided by KMC Kent Principal Teacher James Baskerville, who has extensive retreat experience. James will guide practical and deceptively simple meditations on Buddha’s psychology of transformation. Through applying these timeless methods, we will learn to let go of any negative minds, such fear, anxiety or insecurity and develop the confidence to bring about the new version of ourself that we have always longed for.

You will also relax in the peaceful setting of The Friars, learn to connect with your heart and with like-minded people, all working together to develop the qualities that really matter.
