In-Depth Study

The In-Depth Study Class in Maidstone provides a unique opportunity to deepen our understanding and experience of the spiritual path through studying and meditating systematically with a group of like-minded people. These classes will allow you to relax, create some inner space and return home feeling refreshed and inspired. Although taught as a series, each class is self-contained so you can attend when you wish.

We can improve our wisdom and Dharma experience and use Dharma to solve our daily problems. We can become our own protector by protecting ourselves from danger and suffering, and our own doctor by curing our mental pain with Dharma medicine.

speaking about study programs

The class are currently studying the book How to Transform Your Life written by the contemporary meditation master and founder of Jampel Buddhist Centre, Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche.

This practical book reveals essential methods for transforming all life’s difficulties into valuable spiritual insights and for developing universal love and compassion, the source of true happiness for both self and others.

Wisdom & compassion

Each class begins with guided breathing meditation to help let go of distractions and settle the mind into an experience of inner peace.

Buddhist Teaching

The teacher will then give a teaching, based on the book currently being studied, emphasising how we can integrate Buddha's timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives and go deeper with our understanding and experience.

The class will conclude with a second guided meditation to help us take the teaching to heart. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.
