The True Path of Happiness
Weekend Retreat with Jampel Centre’s Resident Teacher James Baskerville
Join us for either one or both days of retreat in which you will be guided in traditional meditation on loving kindness by our resident teacher James.
Cultivating our own feeling of gratitude, connectedness and empathy not only leads to a precious experience of genuine inner peace, it also leads to healthier relationships and more confidence in our day to day life.
Why not celebrate Valentine’s weekend by doing something a little different? Relax in this peaceful setting of Wootton, learn to connect with your heart, and spend time with like minded people all working together to develop the qualities that really matter.
This weekend retreat is suitable for everyone: couples, singles and broken-hearted.
Day 1 – Sat 15 Feb | 10am – 4.30pm
Day 2 – Sun 16 Feb | 10am – 4.30pm
This weekend retreat will be led by James Baskerville, the Resident Teacher at Jampel Kadampa Buddhist Centre.
James has been practising and teaching Kadampa Buddhism for over twenty years and has engaged in extensive meditation retreats, including silent retreat. He is especially known for his clarity, humour and inspirational presentation of Buddha’s teachings.
Our classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or belief. They are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice. Everyone is invited to use whichever aspects of the teachings they find helpful.
