Negative emotions and conflicts in relationships can erode away at our happiness and our self-worth, leading to feelings of inadequacy, shame, and self-doubt. Breaking free from this cycle of negativity requires wisdom and skills of emotional freedom.
In this series of meditation classes, you will learn practical tools to understand and manage negative emotions such as anger, anxiety, feelings of inadequacy and jealousy.
Through a blend of guided meditations, insightful teachings, and discussions, you will be taken on a journey of self-discovery, of empowerment and of inner peace. Suitable for complete beginners as well experienced meditators.

When we are stuck in negative feelings like anger, fear or insecurity, we can’t think straight and end up making decisions we regret later. Misunderstandings and conflicts can simmer, often making us feel disconnected from the people we care about.

This course is aimed at all levels of experience from beginners to those looking to fine tune their meditation practice.
Classes last for an for 45 mins to time after for an informal discussion with the teacher over a cup of tea. They are suitable for complete beginners and those with more experience of meditation. Light refreshments will be served before or after the class.
About the course: this five week course aim to teach effective, meditation-based solutions to everyday problems taken from the Kadampa Buddhist tradition. These classes can be attended on a drop-in basis, as each class is self-contained.

Class Format
What to Expect
Guided Meditation
Each class begins with guided breathing meditation to help let go of distractions and settle the mind into an experience of inner peace.
Buddhist Teaching
The teacher will then give practical advice, based on the topic of the class, explaining how we can integrate Buddha's timeless wisdom into our busy daily lives.
Discussion
The class will conclude with a second guided meditation to help us take the teaching to heart. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

We are a registered charity run entirely by volunteers, no-one receives a salary. The funds we receive are used to pay for our venues and operating expenses. Although we charge for classes we also offer low-income rates and no one will ever be turned away for lack of funds.
Our classes are for everyone who is interested in learning how to meditate, regardless of background or belief. They are designed to give a broad introduction to Buddhist meditation, teachings, and practice. Everyone is invited to use whichever aspects of the teachings they find helpful.
No. Anyone can learn basic meditation and experience the benefits that come from having a peaceful mind.
No. Everyone is welcome, including beginners. All you need is the wish to improve yourself and the quality of your life.
No special clothing is required, come as you are.
No. The classes focus on meditation and teachings alone. You can choose to sit on a chair or meditation cushion.
